Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a Configuration Analyst to support configuration management across our engineering projects at the Ampthill, UK site. You will work with experienced engineers to maintain baselines, assess design changes, and ensure CM policy compliance.

The role will evolve to include digital transformation, digital twins, and model-based systems engineering, leveraging Windchill PLM and MBSE tools. A strong team player with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as Configuration Management Engineer or similar role in an engineering environment.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management principles, processes, and standards.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management tools and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Configuration Management within the defence industry.
• Working knowledge of DEF-STAN 05-57.
• SysML and MBSE awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with applying Configuration Management principles, processes, and tools.
• Analyse proposed product design changes for their impact on the overall product and system.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of configuration baselines.
• Contribute to change control processes and reports.
• Review released engineering change data and ensure CM policy compliance.
• Collaborate with various teams and experienced engineers.
• Grow into digital engineering roles including MBSE and digital twins.
