Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Ampthill, UK, is seeking a Project Planner to join the Programme Management team at our Advanced Manufacturing Facility. You’ll manage end-to-end planning from proposal to execution, supporting complex defence engineering programmes with a hybrid, four-day workweek.

The role requires collaboration with senior managers, development of planning artefacts, and strong coordination across schedules, cost baselines, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Planner, Project Co-ordinator or similar PMO/planning role.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, systems, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the end-to-end lifecycle of planning and schedule management in support of programme capture and execution.
• Support proposal preparation planning including development of planning artefacts for solicitation response. Interfaces with program management, senior management and the contractual customer as the programs planning integrator.
• Support the validation of cost and schedule integration for effective program performance management.
• Support the vertical and horizontal integration between all schedules and other program artefacts compliant with LM's command media.
• Support the modelling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline.
• Supports the resolution of schedule conflicts, develops and implements work-around strategies and tactical alternatives.
• Utilises performance and health metrics to communicate actions to the programme team resulting in improved program performance.
• Maintenance and status updates of the IMS on a weekly & monthly basis.
• Support to the Maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline.
• Support to the Project Business Rhythm.
• Support to the generation of Schedule Information for client and management reviews.
