Role: 3rd Line Network and Support Engineer
Location: Wales / Birmingham / Fully Remote
I’m looking for a skilled 3rd Line Network and Support Engineer to join a great client based in Birmingham/Wales. In this role, you’ll provide technical support, resolve major outages, and manage internal and external networks.
Key Responsibilities:
•Take ownership of support calls and resolve issues efficiently.
•Lead troubleshooting for major outages (including ransomware/crypto attacks).
•Maintain and configure hardware/software systems.
•Monitor system performance and provide proactive solutions.
•Ensure compliance with security policies.
•Stay updated on tech trends and provide cross-training.
•Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution.
Required Skills:
•Strong knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
•Experience with WAN technologies (xDSL, FTTC, FTTP, 4G/5G, Routers).
•Expertise in VMware/Hyper-V.
•Experience handling major outages and ransomware.
•Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, MFA, Endpoint Manager.
•Windows Server (2008–2019) and Desktop OS (7–11) experience.
•Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Autopilot.
