Job description

Join to apply for the 3rd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer role at Taishi Consulting.

Location: Nr High Wycombe

Salary: £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 3rd line Infrastructure Support Engineer / 4th line / Technical Specialist to join a leading IT support company providing high-quality support to UK and international clients.

The role involves a mix of infrastructure, IT support, and project work, with key skills including:

  • VMware (building from scratch)
  • SAN setup and management (deep knowledge required)
  • VEEAM or equivalent backup solutions

Additional requirements include:

  • Strong experience with virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Expertise in Windows Server 2019 onwards
  • Knowledge of physical server hardware (HPE ProLiant / Dell PowerEdge)
  • Experience with SAN/NAS storage solutions (HPE SAN)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft environments (ADUC, GPO, Certificate Services)
  • Backup solutions installation and configuration (Veeam)
  • Microsoft 365 administration (Intune, compliance, security, licensing)
  • Network fundamentals (routing, subnetting, VLANs, Firewalls)
  • Exposure to RMM tools (N-able, Splunk, Arcsight)
  • Valid UK driving license and own vehicle

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional technical service to customers
  • Managing service tickets per ITIL standards
  • Effective communication (written and verbal)
  • Working independently or in teams to meet deadlines
  • Leading technical projects
  • Continuously updating skills and industry knowledge
  • Maintaining professionalism when visiting clients
  • Minimum 5+ years supporting listed technologies
  • At least 5+ years in a customer support role
