3rd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer

Nr High Wycombe
£50,000 + Bonus + Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 3rd line Infrastructure Support Engineer / 4th line / Technical Specialist to join a leading IT Support company providing high-quality support to UK and international clients.
This role involves a mix of Infrastructure, IT Support, and project work, with key skills including:

1. VMware - building from scratch
2. SAN - setup and management, with deep knowledge
3. VEEAM or equivalent backup solutions

In addition to these key skills, the ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience with virtualized environments, including installation, configuration, and management (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
• Expertise in Windows Server 2019 and later versions
• Knowledge of physical server hardware architecture (HPE ProLiant / Dell PowerEdge)
• Experience with network storage solutions - SAN / NAS (HPE SAN)
• Proficiency in Microsoft environments (ADUC, GPO, Certificate Services)
• Experience installing and configuring backup solutions (Veeam, etc.)
• Microsoft 365 administration skills (Intune, compliance, security, licensing)
• Basic network knowledge (routing, subnetting, VLANs, firewalls)
• Exposure to RMM solutions (N-able, Splunk, Arcsight, etc.)
• Full UK Driving Licence and own car

• Managing service tickets in line with ITIL standards
• Demonstrating strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Acting as technical lead for assigned projects

• Conducting yourself professionally when visiting customers
• Having 5+ years of experience as a 3rd line IT infrastructure engineer supporting the technologies listed above
• Having 5+ years of experience in a customer support role
