Job summary

LA International is seeking a 3rd Line Citrix SME to provide expert support for a major UK secure customer. The role requires on-site work in Preston with START ASAP and an end date of 31/03/2027.

Applicants must be ready for security clearance and possess strong Citrix expertise across XenApp/XenDesktop, Cloud, NetScaler, and WEM. Qualifications

• Proven experience in third-line support for Citrix environments.
• Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler, and WEM.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and FSLogix.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise support models.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V/XenServer; Ivanti knowledge is a plus.

Job description

Our client is a Global Systems Integrator that require a 3rd Line Citrix SME to support one of their largest UK secure customers.

START: ASAP

END DATE: 31/03/2027

CLEARANCE: SC

RATE: £170.00 (INSIDE IR35)

LOCATION: ON-SITE IN PRESTON

Responsibilities:

The Roles Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide Third-Line Technical Support for incident escalations & problem record progression. Point of contact for Citrix infrastructure, including XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Cloud, and NetScaler.
• Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex technical issues across Citrix platforms.
• Manage and optimise Citrix policies, profiles, and user experience.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to design and implement Citrix solutions.
• Support patching, upgrades, and migrations of Citrix components.
• Both proactive and reactive problem record progression and root cause analysis.
• Pro-active approach towards defect management resolutions as part of technical assurance activities.
• Confidence in working with internal and cross capability teams alongside account and customer engagement.
• Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles

Skills required:

• Proven experience within a Third Line Support role
• Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler ADC, and Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and FSLogix.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise support models.
• Operations - VMWare, HyperV, XenServer, Invanti
• Desirable to have a working knowledge of supporting UK Secure Paradox solution (Becypt).
• Analytics, specifically Systrack / Nexthink (Non Essential - training provided).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems, including, Windows 10 & Win11
