REQUIREMENT

We seek talented 3D Animators for our animation department! The ideal candidate is passionate about creating fun, exciting animations with attention to detail. Can you bring a character to life? Do you want to learn how?

We need disciplined, artistic candidates with a solid understanding of animation techniques, fundamentals, and Maya. Animators will collaborate with the team to understand project needs, create storyboards and animations, and assist in editing. You should be collaborative, knowledgeable, and reliable.

Successful candidates are adaptable, creative, receptive to feedback, and enjoy working with others as our team treats each other like family.

This position is office-based in Edinburgh, Scotland. You must be based there or able to commute to our office.

SKILLS REQUIRED

We evaluate talent and exposure rather than specific experience levels. Your portfolio and skills are what matter most.

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree, animation certificate, or strong portfolio.
• Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development.
• Attention to detail, adaptability, and openness to feedback.

Intermediate

• Knowledge of lighting, shadows, and textures.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to develop animations and solve problems.

Advanced

• Understanding limb movement, weight effects, and skin/flesh behavior.
• Experience with Unity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement high-quality 3D character animations using Autodesk Maya.
• Create blockout animations for timing, composition, and key poses.
• Produce final animation sequences for presentation and approval.
• Develop expressive character performances conveying personality and narrative.
• Meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Manage animation files, assets, and documentation.
• Apply creative direction to communicate stories or concepts visually.
