This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3. Apprentices should note that the salary will be at the Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (up to 75% of the band) until they complete their apprenticeship.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Support Assistant to work within the Infrastructure team in the ICT Department at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on a 12-month placement. The role is ideally suited for university students completing a sandwich degree in computing or networking, with a passion for technology and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
The post holder will be responsible for providing ICT Infrastructure support, including monitoring a call ticketing queue, remote fixes, procurement of IT equipment for the Trust, IP and analogue telephony configuration, server monitoring and maintenance, user advice, and general administration duties. The role requires a strong customer focus and the ability to work independently.
