Job summary

Norse Contracts Ltd is recruiting Groundwork Gangs, 360 Excavator Operators and Groundworkers for a busy new-build housing development in Huntingdon. Immediate starts available for the right candidates, with sub-contract / self-employed terms.

Front End Gangs will handle excavation, drainage and foundation work ahead of the superstructure on a busy site in Huntingdon. Must have drainage experience, CSCS card and related qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven drainage installation experience (foul & surface water).
• Foundation excavation & footings on housing sites.
• Reading drainage and setting-out drawings.
• CSCS card (Green Labourer or Blue Skilled Worker).
• CPCS/NPORS ticket advantageous for small plant operation.

Responsibilities

• Front End Gangs working on initial infrastructure phase including excavation and drainage.
• Coordinate with 360 excavator operators on site and follow levels/laser guidance.

We are currently recruiting Front End and Back End Groundwork Gangs, along with 360 Excavator Operators and experienced Groundworkers, for a busy new-build housing development in Huntingdon. Immediate starts available for the right candidates.

Front End Gangs

Working on the initial infrastructure phase — excavation, drainage, and foundations ahead of superstructure.

Skills & requirements:

• Proven experience in drainage installation (foul & surface water)
• Foundation excavation & footings experience on housing/residential sites
• Sub-base and hardcore laying to engineer's specification
• Manhole and gully construction
• Confident reading drainage and setting-out drawings
• Experience working alongside 360 operators and taking direction from levels/laser
• Valid CSCS card (Green Labourer or Blue Skilled Worker - Groundworker NVQ preferred)
• CPCS/NPORS ticket an advantage if also operating small plant (dumper, roller)
• Own PPE and hand tools
