Job summary

Acorn by Synergie in Cardiff is seeking an experienced operator for Material Handling and Wheeled Loading Shovel roles at a recycling facility. The position is 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour shifts, with a temporary to permanent pathway and competitive PAYE rates.

You will operate Sennebogen material handlers, wheeled loading shovels and wheeled 360 excavators, following strict site safety procedures and existing protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels in recycling or similar facilities.
• UK driving licence.
• CPCS, NPORS or equivalent qualifications for 360 Wheeled Excavator / Wheeled Loading Shovel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-start checks and ensure machinery is safe and operational.
• Operate Material Handlers, including Sennebogen, Fuchs and Liebherr, or similar machinery safely and efficiently.
• Operate wheeled loading shovels and wheeled 360 excavators in line with site procedures.
• Work to established protocols while adhering to cardinal safety rules.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Comply with site health, safety and environmental policies.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Wheeled 360 Material Handler (Sennebogen) and Wheeled Loading Shovel Operator for an ongoing position in Cardiff.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy recycling facility, with a permanent contract available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will operate specialist heavy plant machinery, including Sennebogen Material Handlers, wheeled loading shovels and wheeled 360 excavators, while working to established site procedures and safety standards.

Able to work 40-60 hours per week, including potential overtime.
