Job summary

Streamline Recruitment are seeking a skilled 360 Grab Operator for a recycling site in Purfleet-on-Thames. The role includes wheeled 360 grab work, forklift operation, and baler duties with a view to permanent placement after 13 weeks.

You will join a busy team ensuring safe, efficient site operations and adherence to processes and targets. Shifts are days, with a strong health & safety culture.

Qualifications

• Strong health & safety awareness and ability to follow site procedures.
• Reliability and good communication; proactive attitude.
• Experience in recycling or heavy plant environment preferred.
• Valid wheeled 360 licence with grab attachment experience.
• A tracked 360 licence may be considered if you have wheeled 360 grab experience.

Responsibilities

• Load, move, and process recyclable materials with a wheeled 360 grab.
• Operate Counterbalance forklift to move pallets, bales and materials.
• Run and monitor the baler machine, ensuring materials are compacted to company standards.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report faults.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and meet site targets.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:45 – 16:30

A valid wheeled 360 licence is required for this role. Applicants holding a tracked 360 licence may also be considered if they have previous experience operating a wheeled 360 grab.

Job Description

Streamline Recruitment are currently seeking a skilled 360 Grab Operator to join a well-established recycling company in Purfleet-on-Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator to secure stable, ongoing work with the potential to progress into a permanent position.

You will be part of a busy team responsible for keeping the site running smoothly, ensuring recycling processes are carried out safely and efficiently. Alongside wheeled 360 grab work, you will also operate a Counterbalance Forklift and run the baler machine, giving you a varied and engaging role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wheeled 360 Grab Operation: Load, move, and process a range of recyclable materials.
• Counterbalance Forklift Driving: Transport pallets, bales, and materials across the site.
• Baler Operation: Run and monitor the baler machine, ensuring materials are compacted to company standards.
• Carry out daily equipment checks, reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure site targets and safety standards are met.

Requirements:

• Valid wheeled 360 licence with grab attachment experience. A tracked 360 licence may be considered if you have previous experience operating a wheeled 360 grab.
• In-date Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Previous experience in recycling, waste management, or a similar heavy plant environment preferred.
• Strong health & safety awareness and ability to follow site procedures.
• Reliability, good communication skills, and a proactive approach to work.
