The Governors of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School are excited to invite applications for a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support a small group of children with additional educational needs in Key Stage 2. The position is permanent and term-time only.
This is a 30-hour role, working closely with our class teachers, SENCo and outside agencies to help children achieve their full potential—socially, emotionally and academically. The role may include some one-to-one and small group work, as well as supporting children within the classroom. A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a good sense of humour are essential.

We are looking for someone who:
o Has experience of working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting
o Can show initiative and adapt to meet the needs of individual children
o Works well as part of a team and communicates clearly with adults and children alike
o Is flexible, calm under pressure, and always ready to lend a hand
o Has a kind heart and a patient nature
o Will uphold the Catholic ethos of our school and be committed to safeguarding all pupils
