Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking a 3 Axis CNC Machinist / Setter Operator to join its production team in Watford. This permanent days role involves setting and operating 3 Axis CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings, performing tool changes and set-ups, and checking finished parts with measuring equipment.

You will work closely with the manufacturing team to maintain quality standards and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• You should have previous experience working as a CNC Setter Operator, CNC Machinist or CNC Miller within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• You will need to be confident setting CNC machinery rather than purely operating pre-set machines, with a good understanding of engineering drawings and component quality.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate 3 Axis CNC machines
• Manufacture precision machined components to engineering drawings
• Carry out machine set-ups and tool changes
• Check completed components using appropriate measuring equipment
• Maintain quality standards throughout production
• Work closely with the wider manufacturing and engineering team
