Job summary

Chester Hall Precision Engineering Limited in Wickford, Essex, is recruiting fully skilled CNC Machine Setters to join our expanding team. You will use multi-axis, high-speed CNC machine tools to machine a full range of aerospace components.

The role requires setting 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC centres, tool changes, machine adjustments and problem solving on all machines; training is provided where needed, with shift premiums for certain hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Good understanding of engineering terminology.
• Able to use measuring equipment (e.g., micrometres).
• Good communication and team-working skills.
• Experience setting 3/4/5 axis CNC machining centres.

Responsibilities

• Setting CNC milling machines to programme specifications.
• Setting on the machine tools and securing work pieces.
• Changing tools and holders as required.
• Making machine adjustments to achieve tolerances.
• Problem solving on all machines to maintain output quality.

CNC Machine Setters within the aerospace parts CNC machining industry

Location: Wickford, Essex, SS11 8YB

Salary: Competitive, DOE

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

Shift Rota: All available. 7am - 3pm; 3pm - 11pm & 11pm – 7am (premium paid for 3pm-11pm & 11pm-7am shifts)

Chester Hall Precision Engineering Limited is now currently recruiting for fully skilled CNC Machine Setters to join their expanding team based in Wickford, Essex.

Using multi-axis, high-speed CNC machine tools, the successful candidates will be responsible for the machining of a full range of aerospace components.

The fully skilled CNC Machine Setter will be required to set 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC machine centres producing machined precision aerospace components.

Training will be ongoing if required.
