Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking a 5 Axis CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer to join its Hayes-based manufacturing and precision engineering team. The role involves operating 5 Axis Kitamura CNC machining centres with Fanuc controls, reading engineering drawings and ensuring high-quality components are produced.

You will set, operate and program 5 axis machines, load tooling, conduct basic inspections with verniers and micrometers, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with 4 Axis or 5 Axis CNC machines preferred.
• Fanuc controls experience beneficial.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Set Operate and Program 5 Axis Kitamura CNC machining centres.
• Work with Fanuc control systems.
• Load and unload components and tooling.
• Monitor machining operations and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and production documentation.
• Carry out basic quality inspections using measuring equipment.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and good housekeeping standards.
• Support production and manufacturing operations as required.
• Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.
