Job summary

HSS ProService Marketplace is seeking a proactive 3.5t Driver to support customer deliveries and on-site operations. You will take ownership, solve problems, and work with teams to improve service quality.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, safe loading/unloading, and clear communication with customers. A valid UK driving licence is required; BPSS clearance may be needed for Naval sites.

Qualifications

• Willingness to support the team and maintain high service levels.
• BPSS & SC Clearance required for Naval site; Tacho card is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely complete daily deliveries and collections following planned routes.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, report defects, keep vehicle clean and roadworthy.
• Load, unload and secure goods, ensuring no damage.
• Communicate with customers, provide delivery updates professionally.

A typical day as a 3.5t Driver

No two days look exactly the same here, and thats part of what makes it work.

As a 3.5t Driver, youll play a key part in keeping things moving for our customers, suppliers and The Pros around you. Youll take ownership, solve problems properly, and work with people across the business to make things simpler, faster and better.

Youll be trusted to get stuck in, make decisions, and see things through.

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday 07:00- 16:30

What youll be doing

• Safely complete daily deliveries and collections, following planned routes and providing excellent customer service throughout.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, report any defects promptly, and ensure the vehicle is kept clean, roadworthy, and compliant.
• Load, unload, and secure goods safely and accurately, ensuring all items are transported without damage.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing delivery updates and maintaining a professional, helpful approach at all times.
• Use company technology to manage deliveries, complete required checks, and report any damaged items, incidents, or issues.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, wear the required PPE, and maintain accurate records including driving hours and vehicle documentation.
• Escort non-security-cleared contractors and suppliers on-site when required, ensuring compliance with site access and safety procedures.
• Provide support to on-site engineers as required, assisting with operational tasks to ensure efficient service delivery.

What youll bring

You dont need to tick every single box, but youll likely bring:

• A valid UK Driving License
• A good understanding of safe loading and unloading processes, manual handling
• A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude, with a willingness to support the team
• Must be able to obtain Government BPSS & SC Clearance in line with working on Naval site
• A Tacho Card is desirable but not essential
