Job summary

FTH Hire Group in Guildford is seeking a 3.5t driver to collect and deliver plant and tool hire equipment, meeting deadlines and maintaining safety standards. You will be confident securing loads and towing a trailer where required.

Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence, have a willingness and enthusiasm for the role, and be available for Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full current driving licence and experience towing a trailer.
• Should have good geographical knowledge of Guildford and surrounding areas within a 50 Mile radius
• Collection and delivery of goods as stated on paperwork
• Report any vehicle defects to management
• Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the van
• Some experience of operating plant machinery would be an advantage
• Tacho card preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver to meet deadlines, while working safely and efficiently.
• Drive a van for work and tow a trailer as required.
• Load and unload machinery from the van and secure loads.
• Ensure loads are secured and delivered safely to customers.
• Report any vehicle defects to management promptly.

We have an exciting opportunity for a tool hire driver in our Guildford depot. You will be required to collect and deliver to meet deadlines, whilst working safely and efficiently. Confident in securing loads and driving various items of small tools and plant equipment and towing a trailer.

To be suited to this role you will have experience of driving a van for work and have a willing and enthusiastic character.
