Job summary

FTH Hire Group in Guildford is seeking a 3.5t Driver to join our tool hire team. You will collect and deliver equipment to meet deadlines, load and unload vans safely, and tow a trailer when required. A confident, reliable driver with good local knowledge will fit well.

Responsibilities include checking paperwork, reporting vehicle defects, and providing a practical, safety‑minded service to customers across Guildford and surrounding areas within a 50 mile radius. Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full current driving licence and experience towing a trailer.
• Geographical knowledge of Guildford and surrounding areas within a 50 mile radius
• Collection and delivery of goods as stated on paperwork
• Report any vehicle defects to management
• Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the van
• Some experience of operating plant machinery would be an advantage

We have an exciting opportunity for a tool hire driver in our Guildford depot. You will be required to collect and deliver to meet deadlines, whilst working safely and efficiently. Confident in securing loads and driving various items of small tools and plant equipment and towing a trailer. To be suited to this role you will have experience of driving a van for work and have a willing and enthusiastic character.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for a 3.5t Driver:
