Job summary

Blok N Mesh is seeking a reliable 3.5T Driver to deliver goods to customers and collect return hire stock, while supporting the day-to-day running of the depot in Witham.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, secure loads, complete delivery paperwork, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain a professional, courteous approach with customers on every route.

This full-time role pays £15.00 per hour and includes a company pension, on-site parking and a range of wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• A valid 3.5T driving licence is essential.
• Good customer-facing communication is required.
• Ability to physically assist with loading/unloading and depot duties.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle checks using the Checkedsafe app or equivalent.
• Secure loads to prevent movement during transport.
• Deliver goods and collect return hire stock on route.
• Complete delivery and collection paperwork with signatures.
• Keep vehicle clean, tidy and fueled for next shift.
• Assist with loading/unloading and any lifting tasks.
• Support yard duties including stock organisation and depot operations.
• Follow health and safety policies on site.

3.5T Driver | Witham | Full Time | £15.00 per hour

Our client is a market-leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of temporary fencing, site hoarding and barriers, with over 20 offices and depots across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. They manufacture more than 1.6 million units each year and supply solutions to a wide range of sectors, including construction and security.

They are seeking a reliable 3.5T Driver to deliver goods to customers and collect return hire stock, while supporting the day-to-day running of the depot.

The Role

You will be responsible for deliveries and collections along your assigned route, ensuring loads are secured safely, and all paperwork is completed accurately. You will also assist with loading, unloading and general depot duties as required. As a representative of the business on the road, you will be expected to maintain a professional and polite approach with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle checks using the Checkedsafe app and report any defects promptly
• Secure loads safely to prevent movement during transportation
• Deliver goods and collect return hire stock along your assigned route
• Complete and obtain signatures on all delivery and collection paperwork
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and fuelled for the next working day
• Assist with loading and unloading, including mechanical and physical lifting
• Support yard duties, including stock organisation and general depot operations
• Follow company and customer health and safety policies when on site

Requirements

Essential

• A valid driving licence for 3.5T vehicles
• A professional and polite manner when dealing with customers
• The ability to carry out loading and unloading duties, including physical lifting
• A responsible approach to vehicle checks, load security and health and safety

Desirable

• Previous experience in a delivery driving role
• Experience with stock collections and return hire goods
