Job summary

Booker Group plc in Tunbridge Wells is looking for a driver to join our delivery team. You will be responsible for local deliveries and building relationships with regular customers.

This 7 day operation may include weekend work and overtime opportunities. A Cat B / 3.5T licence and at least two years' driving experience are required, along with strong customer service and numeracy.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence.
• 2+ years of driving experience preferred.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintain relationships with regular customers.

About the role

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
