Job summary

Booker Group plc in Cardiff is seeking a Driver to join a delivery team. You will drive locally, build relationships with regular customers, and ensure on-time deliveries with a great service.

The role runs 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern, with overtime opportunities and fully funded CPC training hours.

You will load stock, check paperwork, and maintain safe driving practices while delivering to customers. This is a full-time position based at Booker Wholesale in the Cardiff area.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Experience in driving/delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver locally to customers and ensure on-time deliveries with a high level of service.
• Load stock into the vehicle and unload at customer premises; complete paperwork accurately.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
