Qualifications

• Multi-drop experience with deliveries and collections.
• Valid UK Category B driving licence held for at least two years.
• Maximum of six points; no DR, DD or IN convictions allowed.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of road networks and navigation tools.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and use initiative.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations.
• Desirable: experience driving commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries and collections.
• Loading and unloading the vehicle.
• Loading the vehicle for following day's routes.
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure.
• Completing vehicle inspections and reporting faults.
• Assisting with sorting of freight.
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver based in Hillington, Glasgow.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 - 18:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will work:

• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries and collections
• Loading and unloading the vehicle
• Loading the vehicle for the following day's routes
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Completing vehicle inspections and reporting faults
• Assisting with the sorting of freight
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• Previous multi-drop experience
• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years
• A maximum of six points on your licence. No DR, DD or IN convictions can be accepted due to the client's insurance requirements
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
• Good understanding of road networks and navigational tools
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and use your own initiative
• Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations

Desirable Experience:

• Experience driving commercial vehicles
