Job summary

Chambers Timer is seeking an experienced driver with a Cat B licence (up to 3.5 ton) and at least 12 months’ experience. You will drive transit and flatbed vehicles up to 3.5 ton, performing multi‑drop deliveries to local customers with a focus on on‑time, intact deliveries. Strong customer service and safety awareness are essential.

The role runs Monday to Friday with 23 days holiday plus bank holidays. A full UK driving licence and good English are required; pension, on‑site parking and cycle

Qualifications

• Experience in driving and delivering goods is required.
• Must be 25 years or older.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of timber/building industry helpful.

Responsibilities

• Drive transit/flatbed vehicles up to 3.5 ton and perform multi‑drop deliveries.
• Ensure orders are delivered on time and in good condition.
• Work Monday to Friday, maintaining safety and customer service standards.

Job description

Are you an experienced driver with a minimum Cat B licence (up to 3.5 ton) held for at least 12 months? If so, our client - Chambers Timer are keen to hear from you!

Specific experience within our industry is advantageous but not essential as long as you have an ability to learn quickly, a strong work ethic and are physically fit. We are looking for candidates with exceptional customer service experience, health & safety awareness, the rest we can teach you along the way. We will provide you with a great introduction into our business and provide you with all the tools needed.

What you'll be doing

Driving our transit and flatbed vehicles (up to 3.5 ton) you will carry out multi-drop deliveries from our branch direct to our local customers and be responsible for ensuring they receive their orders on time and in one piece, safely, every time.

Requirements

• Must be 25 years or older
• Manual Handling
• Timber/Building Industry Experience - 3yrs
• Monday - Friday
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Full UK driving licence
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy goods (individually and as part of a team)
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
