Job summary

ALCEDO CARE LIMITED is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to support a young person in the Southport area. The role offers a guaranteed 20-hour contract and involves providing 3:1 support in the family home, with an emphasis on engaging in meaningful activities and community participation.

You will receive specialist training, ongoing support, and opportunities for career progression, while delivering patient and consistent care in a calm environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with autism, ADHD or behaviours that challenge is advantageous.
• At least 6 months hands-on care or support experience within a UK care setting.
• Comfortable working in a 3:1 support environment and following behaviour support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate 3:1 support.
• Assist with activities, routines and community engagement.
• Help manage transitions and changes in routine.
• Recognise triggers and early signs of distress.
• Support sensory and emotional regulation and use Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
• Promote choice, independence and positive experiences.
• Maintain a safe environment and complete accurate care records.
