Job summary

AAK International (Hull) is hiring a Factory 1 Grade 2 Operative to operate a production line on a two-shift pattern (7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm) in the Foodservice department. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will ensure the right quality, timely output at the right cost in a safe manner.

The role emphasises continuous improvement, adherence to SOPs, and maintenance of equipment hygiene. Benefits include pension, bonus, healthcare, and life protection.

Qualifications

• Experience in a continuous improvement environment.
• 6S experience desirable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Experience within a similar role.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Operate line safely by following SOPs and maintaining hygiene.
• Set up and run the line to standards and monitor throughput.
• Identify line losses and participate in Lean improvements.
• Complete maintenance tasks and handle changeovers per procedures.
