Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is seeking a General Operative for the Amber Foods Willand site to help feed the nation with duties on the production line. The role includes maintaining health and safety, adhering to GMP, and supporting daily targets in a fast-paced environment.

You will work a 4-day week, with shifts as described, and receive training and progression opportunities within a leading UK food manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a knife or willing to learn – full training will be provided
• To work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all colleagues and Management staff
• Meet all customer requirements & meet the standards expected
• Thorough and Methodical
• Self-motivated
• Able to maintain high personal standards
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Maintain Health and Safety standards in accordance with Company Policy and all relevant legislative documentation – actively encouraging health and safety awareness with other operatives maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to in full – actively encouraging the ‘clean as you go’ philosophy.
• Ensure work practices minimise the risk of product contamination.
• Safe use of knives, maintaining health and safety standards
• Must be able to contribute towards achieving the product targets set for the day by working at a consistent work rate
• Must be aware of the surrounding environment and the potential hazards that could cause harm to themselves or their peers
• Ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours
