Job summary

Sumer is seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to back our Cowgills hub in Bolton. This role blends on-site end-user support with collaboration across our central IT function to strengthen reliability, security and performance of the tech environment.

You will help ensure smooth daily operations, deliver user support, and maintain local infrastructure. As the 2nd line specialist, you’ll work with Windows and Microsoft 365, handle tickets, onboard new users, and assist with security-related

Qualifications

2nd Line IT support experience in multisite or professional services.
Strong working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
Experience with ticketing systems and clear user communication.
Customer-focused mindset with ability to follow procedures and escalate when needed.
Willingness to learn and adapt to security and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

Deliver IT troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, peripherals, apps and performance issues.
Manage support tickets and resolve issues at first contact where possible.
Configure workstations and onboarding for new starters with effective induction.
Administer Active Directory and Microsoft 365 including mailbox setup and security groups.
Support vulnerability management and respond to security alerts under central security guidance.
