Job summary
Nextech Group Limited is seeking an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider in the Northampton area. You will provide second-line technical support, troubleshoot IT and network issues, and assist with Microsoft, cloud, and telephony systems.
The role involves resolving escalated tickets, supporting Windows environments, Active Directory, and networking, and collaborating with 1st and 3rd line teams. A rotating out-of-hours rota is included.
Qualifications
- Experience in 2nd line support.
- Strong Windows skills and troubleshooting ability.
- Experience with Active Directory and networking.
- Azure, Entra ID, Intune and VoIP experience is desirable.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Resolve 2nd line support tickets and escalated issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking problems.
- Support Windows, Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Intune.
- Support networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP and Microsoft Teams.
- Work with 1st and 3rd line teams to resolve complex issues.
- Participate in a rotating out-of-hours support rota.
