Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a 2nd Chef at Keogh Barracks, Mytchett (GU12 5RQ). This permanent, full‑time role offers 37.5 hours per week and a salary of £31,189 per annum.

You’ll lead kitchen shifts in the Head Chef’s absence, motivate the team, manage stock and allergens, and uphold demanding hygiene standards. The role includes training and clear progression within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant culinary qualification.
• Experience as a 2nd Chef or senior CDP.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Motivate and support the wider team to deliver service.
• Prepare dishes to spec and manage allergen requirements.
• Control production levels, stock records, and waste.
• Receive deliveries and maintain FIFO storage.
• Uphold high cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Ensure staff are trained and prepared to shine.
