Job summary

Edinburgh Airport is seeking an Airport Operations Coordinator to join a small, highly professional team responsible for delivering world-class operations. You will monitor daily operations via CCTV, coordinate real-time resources with the Airport Operations Manager, and lead emergency responses as required.

Qualifications

• Counter Terrorist Check required; must have lived in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years.
• Experience of working within a control room or similar operational environments.
• Demonstrate innovation, adaptability, pragmatism and enthusiasm for their work.
• Ability to interpret data from various systems to make decisions and initiate responses effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.
• Ability to manage large amounts of information and prioritise effectively, managing multiple tasks under pressure.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Strong and effective customer service and communication skills, with ability to ease conflict situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate daily operational response, providing situational awareness to the Airport Operations Manager and stakeholders via CCTV review.
• Coordinate airport resources in real-time with the AOM and partners, identifying deviations using technology and communication.
• Initiate and coordinate airport and emergency service responses, deputising as Bronze Commander as required.
• Maintain a safe and secure airport environment, responding to security breaches and alarms and delivering campus public announcements.
• Work with control authorities and third parties to reduce criminal or terrorist activity.
• Ensure compliance with legal and statutory obligations, including GDPR policies.
• Own operational protocols and contingency plans to keep them fit for purpose.
• Coordinate and ensure effective radio protocol use by stakeholders.
• Provide legal support to case work through CCTV systems.
