Job Description:

Location: University Hospital Wishaw

The Role: The post holder will work as a key member of the Respiratory Team providing a professional, highly skilled, efficient, high-quality diagnostic and screening service to patients attending the hospital. The role includes deputising for the Respiratory Service Manager in clinical and managerial issues. The service adheres to National and International Standards and promotes best clinical practice.

The organization comprises Acute Services, Corporate & Property & Support Services, and integrated primary healthcare and social care services through local partnerships.

Candidate Requirements:

• BSc. in Clinical Physiology or relevant subject plus ARTP parts 1 & 2, or equivalent experience.
• Operating at a level to be RCCP registered.
• Evidence of completed certificated courses on basic and specialised procedures for CPD portfolio, aligned with HPC and RCPhys standards.
• Minimum of 2 years experience at a grade below.
• Ability to use specialist software for pulmonary function tests and sleep screening.
• Proficiency in general computer software such as Word.
• Up-to-date Basic Adult Life Support certification.
• Excellent communication skills for complex information sharing and training.
• Ability to handle complex and unpredictable situations.

Additional Notes: A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required where applicable.

Contract Details: Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months, full-time (37 hours).

Location: University Hospital Wishaw. Applicants may be considered for similar roles in other locations.
