A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Pharmacist for a 2-year fixed-term role in their Women's, Children's and Sexual Health directorate. This part-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to various areas and further develop one's expertise in a supportive environment, with a focus on pediatrics and collaboration within the multidisciplinary teams.
We have an exciting opportunity for a 2 year fixed term (until March 2027) secondment or post to job share our senior pharmacist role in our Womens, Childrens and Sexual Health directorate. This post is a recently funded new post and while the role is developed within paediatrics the input to other areas of the directorate is at an earlier stage and this will give the successful candidate a great opportunity to use their experience to further develop this role.
The post is 15 hours per week with some or all of the hours covering a Tuesday and Wednesday, all pharmacy posts support weekend/bank holiday working.
NHS Dumfries and Galloway hospital pharmacy is located within Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with the Womens and Childrens hospital wing linked. You will be supported by the wider pharmacy team and line managed by the lead pharmacist Acute and Diagnostics. Hospital experience is required but training can be provided to support an experienced hospital pharmacist moving to another speciality. The successful applicant will be supported to do their pharmacist prescribing qualification if not already obtained.
Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary in Dumfries was opened in 2017 and the pharmacy supports robotics and electronic prescribing. This friendly and supportive team work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams.
Dumfries is situated in beautiful south west Scotland enjoying the coast, forests and hills but within easy reach of the central belt of Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland.
