Job description

An opportunity has arisen to join our team in C5 as a Healthcare Support Worker on a permanent basis.

Ward C5 is a fast-paced 28-bedded general medical ward specialising in haematology, infectious diseases, and gastroenterology.

We are a fantastic, friendly team committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and effective, person-centred care.

As an Unregistered Nurse, You Will
  1. Implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients as prescribed by the registered nurse, and document this care.
  2. Assist in the delivery of meals and support patients with their nutritional needs.
  3. Work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
  4. Support families and carers.
  5. Help maintain a safe and clean environment within NHS Dumfries & Galloway’s infection control policies.
  6. Carry out various clinical skills as required.

This post involves shift work, which could include 7.5-hour or 11.5-hour day shifts and 11.5-hour night shifts, including weekends.
