Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking Class 2 Drivers for Dartford. You will operate a Class 2 vehicle, perform multi-drop deliveries to customer homes, and handle loading and paperwork. Shifts are 5 days on, 3 days off, with a 05:00 start.

Experience is preferred; a UK DCPC and Digi-tacho card are required. This role suits reliable drivers who can work well in a delivery crew and maintain a neat, professional appearance when visiting customer homes.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence held
• UK DCPC card and valid Digi-tacho card
• Right to work in the UK
• Comfortable with manual handling
• Clean and tidy for a customer-facing role

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle
• Complete two delivery runs
• Load own vehicle (hand-balling)
• Multi-drop deliveries
• Work solo or with another crew member
• Deliver to customer homes including upstairs/downs
• Perform vehicle checks and complete paperwork

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers inDartford to work with our client, who is the UK's leading Logistics & Distribution organisations for a leading DIY and homeware retailer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle
• Completing 2 delivery runs
• Loading own vehicle (hand-balling)
• Multi-drop Deliveries
• Working in a 1 person or 2 person crew
• Delivering to Customer Homes
  • Heavy lifting (flat pack items)
  • Climbing Flights of stairs where lifts are not available.
• Vehicle checks and the usual paperwork

As you are delivering to customer homes, deliveries are room of choice, meaning furniture can be required anywhere within the customer's property - including upstairs, downstairs, back gardens etc.

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and havethe ability to deal with different types of people.

About you:

Youmusthave your Class 2 Driving Licence.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements.

You must also be comfortable with manual handling and working as part of a delivery crew.
