Job summary

St Elizabeth's College in Hertfordshire is seeking a Positive Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to help learners thrive in a specialist setting. You will provide 2:1 support to pupils, helping them stay engaged and develop confidence throughout the school day.

Term-time only, with 36 weeks per year, the role offers training and a supportive team environment. You’ll work alongside teachers, therapists and care professionals to make a genuine difference for young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
• Experience with SEN learners is desirable.
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 2:1 support to pupils throughout the day.
• Assist learners to stay engaged and develop confidence.
• Use agreed strategies to support emotional regulation and behaviour.
• Maintain a calm, structured environment and assist transitions.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
