Job summary

Nursing Direct Limited in London is recruiting a compassionate Care Support Worker to support a 13-year-old boy on a 2:1 basis in Wandsworth, London. You will provide safe, structured, person-centred care and work closely with the family to support development and wellbeing.

You will build trust, support home-based schooling and activities, manage anxiety, promote independence, and follow detailed care plans while ensuring safety and safeguarding at all times.

Qualifications

• Six months UK care experience in a similar role.
• Experience supporting individuals with ASD and ADHD.
• Calm, confident approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively within a 2:1 support team.
• Enhanced DBS or Update Service registration.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the service user.
• Build a positive relationship and encourage engagement with activities and home-based schooling.
• Support emotional regulation and anxiety management, promote independence and wellbeing.
• Assist with daily routines and administer medication when required.
• Follow personalised care plans, risk assessments and behaviour-support strategies.
