121 SEN Teaching Assistant

£85-£140 per day dependent on experience

Are you experienced and passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 6 student in a supportive primary school. The student enjoys sports such as football and basketball, and a sporty background may help in building rapport.

Trial days are scheduled for the week commencing Monday 16th December to Friday 20th December. The successful candidate will start on 6th January for a one-year contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Trials can be half or full days based on your preference.

Requirements:

• Patience and understanding, as SEN pupils may take longer to grasp tasks.
• An up-to-date Enhanced DBS, preferably on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviors.
• Adaptability, nurturing qualities, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to build effective and trusting relationships.
• A positive approach with plenty of praise.
