1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Solihull (B92)
Pay: 395- 430 per week (take home after tax and NI)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, School Hours
Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a real impact on a child's educational journey?

We're looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 4 with cerebral palsy, ASD, and ADHD at a warm and inclusive primary school in the B92 area of Solihull. This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive in a tailored and supportive environment.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide 1:1 support, ensuring the pupil receives the right academic, emotional, and physical support to access the curriculum and school life successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with cerebral palsy, ASD, and ADHD.
    Assist with daily routines, mobility needs, and sensory regulation strategies.
    Implement personalised learning activities and behaviour strategies.
    Monitor and record progress, working closely with teachers and SEN professionals.
    Build a strong, trusting relationship with the child to support their development.
    Contribute to a calm, consistent, and inclusive classroom environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with needs such as cerebral palsy, ASD, or ADHD.
    Experience working within Key Stage 2 with an understanding of KS2 curriculum.
    Confident in managing complex needs and using relevant strategies.
    Calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
    Strong teamwork and communication skills.
