Job summary

NEXT plc is offering a 12-month industrial placement in Leicester, designed to help you learn and grow through hands-on experience in full life-cycle development. You will shadow experienced developers and work with a supportive team to deliver real improvements.

You will gain exposure to backend and frontend technologies including C#, .NET, Vue.js, HTML and CSS, and participate in daily stand-ups, planning, and code reviews while adapting to new AI tools.

Qualifications

• Current study towards a STEM degree that includes a dedicated placement year.
• Interest in how software works and a strong desire to learn.
• Basic understanding of core languages: C#, VB.NET, VUE.JS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Shadow experienced developers to learn full life‑cycle development.
• Contribute to frontend/backend applications using C#, .NET, Vue.js, HTML and CSS.
• Write readable, maintainable code meeting user requirements.
