Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is offering a 12-month paid internship in Commercial Quality, head office based in Winnersh with a minimum of two days per week in the office. The role provides practical experience in quality systems, compliance activities and operational data within a regulated pharmaceutical setting.

You will support cross-functional collaboration across Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service and Commercial teams, develop dashboards and reports, and gain exposure to audits,

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Quality Management or a related subject.
• Three A levels at grades ABB with at least one science/maths.
• Right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.
• Ability to travel to the usual place of work and other sites if required.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; willing to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions and records.
• Review and track complaints, deviations and CAPAs.
• Prepare quality reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Support audits, self-inspections and compliance monitoring.
• Maintain training records and monitor training completion.
• Support supplier and third‑party quality activities.
• Assist with product launches, lifecycle changes and batch release activities.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service and Commercial teams.
• Analyse quality data to identify trends and improvements.
• Gain experience with GDP and pharmaceutical quality systems.
