Job summary

Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, advertises a Locum Consultant General Paediatrician on a 12 month fixed term contract. The postholder will join a team of 18 consultants to provide acute and outpatient care for Children and Young People in Manchester and Trafford.

The post involves ~10 programmed activities per week in general paediatrics, with hot week coverage, on-call duties from home, evenings, and regular outpatient clinics plus

Qualifications

• MBChB or equivalent required.
• MRCPCH or equivalent required.
• Higher specialist training in paediatric medicine must be on the specialist register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute and outpatient paediatric care as part of a team of 18 consultants.
• Cover hot weeks and weekends as per draft job plan.
• Deliver general paediatrics clinics and participate in on-call arrangements from home and in the evenings.
