Ziegler UK is seeking a Road Freight Operator for our Import Groupage team at London Gateway. You will manage end-to-end European groupage services and coordinate freight movements nationally and internationally with a dedicated team.

You will prepare paperwork and strive for high customer satisfaction. The role requires at least 2 years’ experience in European road freight operations, along with accuracy in cost calculations and familiarity with customs paperwork.

• Strong understanding of taxable kilos and the ability to manually calculate costs/charges.
• Experience with customs paperwork.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.

We are looking for an experienced Road Freight Operator to join our Import Groupage operations team at London Gateway. In this role, you will manage end-to-end European groupage services, coordinating freight movements nationally and internationally within a dedicated team of 23. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth client operations, preparing paperwork, and driving high customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:

As a Road Freight Operator, you will be required to perform the following as well as support the wider groupage operations team:

• Handle end-to-end movement of groupage freight across Europe.
• Manage the day-to-day operations for our clients.
• Maintain communication with customers, overseas partners, and internal teams.
• Book and track shipments, helping to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
• Being involved in the completion of all necessary documentation.
• Supporting continuous improvement of service levels and customer satisfaction.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in European road freight operations.
