Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited in Enstone is offering an IT Service Desk Student Placement for a penultimate-year university student. You will provide first-line IT support across the business, gain hands-on exposure to diverse technologies, and help maintain high customer service standards in a fast-paced environment.

You'll work with experienced IT professionals, assist with incident management, device deployment, and documentation, and contribute to continuous improvements that enhance user experience

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, and seeking an industry placement during your penultimate year of university.
• Strong interest in IT support, customer service, and technology.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and computer hardware.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
• Strong communicationskills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learnnew technologies.
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role.
• You must be available to attend onsite interviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to users across the business, helping to resolve technical issues and ensure a high standard of customer service.
• Log, categorise, prioritise, and track support tickets through to resolution.
• Troubleshoot issues relating to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and business applications.
• Escalate complex issues to specialist IT teams where required.
• Assist with the setup, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices.
• Support user account administration, including onboarding, offboarding, and access management activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and IT procedures.
• Assist with hardware asset management and inventory control.
• Support meeting room technology and audiovisual equipment across the site.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance IT services and user satisfaction.
