Job summary

Moore NI invites applications for a 1-year Student Placement Programme starting Sept 2027. Trainees will learn what it is like to work in an accounting practice, assisting with the preparation and audit of statutory accounts and other assignments.

All placements are under senior supervision, with tasks expanding as you progress, including drafting working papers, tax returns, and audits while gaining experience across Sage, QuickBooks and Xero.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students seeking a placement in accountancy.
• Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree.
• 100 UCAS points (or equivalent) requested.
• GCSE in English and Mathematics at grade C or higher (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Drafting working papers to support the preparation of accounts for sole traders and limited companies.
• Assisting with audit field work at client sites.
• Drafting personal and corporation tax returns.
• Working with Sage, QuickBooks and Xero to record transactions.
• Communicating with clients and colleagues.
• Supporting other departments as needed.
