Cooper Parry is offering an Audit placement year based in our Dungannon and Belfast offices. You will support statutory audits for a range of clients while gaining hands-on experience and working toward professional qualification.

The role starts in early September 2027 and emphasises curiosity, collaboration, and developing key audit skills. You will join a collaborative team, work on client information, and contribute to audit deliverables in a dynamic environment with opportunities to learn

Qualifications

• You’ll be currently studying an undergraduate degree and seeking a placement year as part of a 4-year programme.
• Minimum of 3 A Levels at BBC, with at least one numerical or business subject.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information like invoices, bank statements and payroll reports.
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year-end stocktakes (sometimes weekends or around Christmas).
• Communicating with client finance teams to understand their systems and processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements using audit software.
• Working in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting your team to deliver high-quality work.

About The Role

Looking to spend your placement year in Audit? Are you naturally curious, always asking questions, and keen to understand how things work? W e offer a pathway that supports your growth and helps you work towards becoming a qualified accountant. Our Audit teams are based in our Dungannon and Belfast office. As an Audit placement student , you’ll be part of a collaborative team, supporting the delivery of statutory audits for a wide range of clients. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, develop your skills, and contribute to work that really matters. This role will begin in early September 2027.
