Job summary

Cooper Parry invites placement-year students to join our Audit teams in the Dungannon and Belfast offices, delivering statutory audits for a diverse client base. You’ll gain hands-on experience, develop core skills, and work toward becoming a qualified accountant with real responsibility.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree placement year in audit required.
• Minimum 3 A Levels at BBC with at least one numerical or business subject.
• Open to candidates early in their qualification journey.

Responsibilities

• Review client information like invoices, bank statements and payroll reports.
• Assess the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attend client year-end stocktakes (weekends around Christmas).
• Communicate with client finance teams to understand their systems and processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements using audit software.
• Work in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meet deadlines and support the team to deliver high-quality work.
