Job summary

Moore NI is recruiting ACA Trainee Chartered Accountants for a September 2027 intake across its three Northern Ireland offices. The ACA training contract lasts 3.5 years with Chartered Accountants Ireland and includes support to gain practical experience in accounts, audit and tax while studying for the ACA.

You will be supervised by senior staff, progress to more complex work, and may work at client sites.

Qualifications

• Motivated to pursue a career in accountancy.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills are required.
• Able to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Draft working papers for accounts for sole traders and companies.
• Draft personal and corporation tax returns.
• Assist with audit fieldwork at client sites.
• Work with Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero accounting software.
• Build relationships with clients and understand their needs.
• Communicate needs to managers/partners and meet deadlines.
