Job summary

Lift Utter is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in our Utterby school, helping create a calm, inclusive learning environment.

You will provide focused one-to-one support, assist language development through play and activities, and feed progress back to the class teacher, while upholding kindness and dignity.

Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous but not essential; UK right to work is required. This role sits within Lift Schools, a rural, community-focused trust.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school setting.
• Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc.
• Understanding of child development and how children learn.
• Flexible, proactive approach and a genuine passion for primary education.
• UK right to work, as this role does not sponsor.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

About the role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll provide tailored support to an individual pupil and (at times) small groups, and contribute to a calm, purposeful learning environment where every young person feels safe, seen and supported. This role will predominantly be a one to one support role, however flexibility to work across the school is required at times.Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting a child on a one-to-one basis or at times in small groups during focused activities

This role is initially on a fixed term contract until August 2027, witht he possibility to extend.
