Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a part-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 child with additional needs in a TS10 area primary school. Morning sessions only, Monday to Friday, starting October 2026, with potential to extend.

You will work closely with the class teacher to provide individualised support, help the child access learning, stay focused in lessons, and contribute to a safe, encouraging classroom environment. Level 3 qualification required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 child with additional needs during morning sessions.
• Support the child to access learning and stay focused in lessons.
• Help develop communication, social skills, confidence and independence.
• Work with the class teacher and school team to ensure consistent support.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet the child’s needs.
