Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated tutor to work in Wigan with vulnerable and disengaged students. You will design and deliver 1:1 lessons to bridge KS3/KS4 gaps and raise engagement and attainment.

The role is part-time on a temporary contract, with start ASAP and ongoing duties within the home or community setting. Applicants should hold QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience, and possess DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4.
• Deliver support in a one-to-one or small-group setting to boost attainment.
• Adapt sessions to the needs of vulnerable and disengaged pupils.
